One more cam to consider for you (I hope it doesn't cause any more waffling ) Take a look at the Comp 265DEH. 270* would be a bit safer with pump gasoline. ![]() 260* is getting close to the limit for pump premium and 9.5:1 compression (which is what you have with flat tops and 76cc heads in a 383, assuming. If you want a smoother cam stay with something closer to 260*, if you want to make sure it doesn't fall off as quick on the top end, go with 270-272*Īnother observation.
